Back by popular demand, we are pleased to announce that we have two fantastic dates with Live Music on the cards for the next few months.
On Sunday 6th May, join us from 4.30pm for a Live acoustic gig with James Henton; frontman & lead guitarist of the dynamic and acclaimed local cover band The Deps. A highly versatile entertainer and musician, James’ set ranges across a varied and wonderful repertoire, from contemporary hits to deeply soulful sounds, toe top tapping ‘old classics’ and ballads.
James will be back to entertain us with another acoustic session on Sunday 22nd July. This time, as a duo. Henton will be bringing another member of The Deps; the wonderfully talented singer Georgi Barratt. Join us from 4.30pm onwards.
Pull up a pew, pick a sip, grab a bite to eat, sit back and enjoy the sounds at The OQH.
The OQH are proud to be partnering the annual Pedal of Honour Charity 100km bike ride on Saturday 12th May. Over eight years ago, a local group of cyclist decided to combine their joint love of biking through the Chilterns with their love of pubs by creating an event that incorporated both. Moreover, they decided that this would be the perfect way to raise necessary funds for local charities and so the first Pedal of Honour was born.
Over the years the route and length of the Pedal of Honour has changed. This year it will be 100km in length (62miles) and encompass some of the most iconic scenery that the Chilterns has to offer, including a pit stop and some well-needed refreshment at The Old Queens Head in Penn.
A relaxed, sociable event, (with approximately 100 riders taking part year on year) it is not only a fantastic day out but is the perfect opportunity to contribute to some fantastic local charities.
